Wayne Spring, W6IRD, is one of the best KWM-380 men in the country. He's also a first class machinist
and one heck of a stand-up guy. Here are some snapshots (made in early 1999) of his shack and shop in Orange, California.

| Here's just part of Wayne's KWM-380 collection. He is always restoring or repairing wayward rigs for hams all over the country. His operating passion, however, is DX and Wayne is very active in state and national DX societies. | Wayne's S-Line collection is full of excellent rigs which he also restored. Located in the workshop in a separate building, the S-Lines can be operated independently of the KWM-380s in the "house shack." |

| Here are two views of Wayne's well-appointed machine shop. He can fabricate just about anything out of metal. Wayne made most of the metal parts for my SC-301 reproduction project and markets his own line of replacement Collins parts. | Another view of the shop area shows why Wayne is so good.... the shop is so clean you can eat off the floor! Everything is in its place and it stays that way even when he is working. |
