My dad built this shooting box in 1967. I used it as a model for the one I built this year. Unfortunately he didn't have any drawings so I scaled mine from these pictures. The controlling item is the spotting scope!

My shooting box will hold up to 5 pistols which are contained in a removable tray. Underneath the tray is space for several boxes of ammo. The small drawer at the top holds tools and accessories. The scope is mounted on a Gil Hebard swing mount. Cabinet grade 1/4" birch plywood was used for the ends and sides and 3/4" birch plywood for the top and bottom. The box measures 10" deep, 16" wide and stands 14 1/2" tall. The green felt is applied with white glue.
